P. Alleni or P. Clarkii?

Postby Craw Chief » January 27th, 2013, 6:57 pm

Just bought this guy at Petco yesterday. I had set a trap in a ditch, but someone stole the trap, so I went and bought a new crawfish instead.

I know it's a male, but I don't know if it's Alleni or Clarkii.

Ok after doing some research, it looks like the areola is too wide to be a clarkii. I'm going to go ahead and assume it is P. alleni.

I don't know enough about crayfish to know anything but I like how your crayfish looks!

Thanks, Miguel! He has molted three times since I took those pictures! He's growing pretty quick! This is him the other day, but he just molted last night so he's even bigger now!
