Procambarus acutus habitat

'There is supposed to be an introduced population of Procambarus acutus in Lick Creek , Greene County, Tennessee not far from where I live. What sorts of places along Lick Creek should I look for?
'They can either be in streams or burrowing. Usually burrow in low lying ditches and wet areas. I personally never seen them in streams so can''t tell you the habitat
'We''ve caught many P. acutus], but have never found one in a running creek. Even with a nice stream within a few dozen yards, the acutus were found only in shallow mud-riddled ditches in a field that occasionally floods. We found them by the many dozens there... it was chock-full. Their burrows were prolific. We caught them by simply dragging a hand net along the muddy bottom.
